About the The-Walk In Counselling Clinic and Counselling Connect
Community-based mental health care, when you need it most.
The Walk-In Counselling Clinic & Counselling Connect are a collaborative initiative supported by Ontario Health East and a network of dedicated community agencies.
Together, we’re committed to removing barriers and making mental health support easier to access, especially when you need it most.
We are a diverse team of trained professionals guided by values of equity, inclusion and trauma-informed care. We recognize the strength it takes to seek help, and we’re honoured to be part of your support system.
Since opening our doors, we’ve been committed to making mental health support more accessible.
Here’s a look at our impact:
Care you can count on; no cost, no catch.
You're not alone. Many have been where you are now.
Each one a moment of care, connection and support.
Because mental health support should never be out of reach.
One conversation can make a difference.
Everyone deserves to feel heard in the language that feels like home.
We offer multilingual support, accessible spaces and safe, respectful care for all.
Services are offered in English at every location, with additional support available in French, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Somali and Spanish at select sites. Language availability depends on who’s working that day, so we recommend contacting your nearest site in advance to see what’s possible.
We are proud to offer welcoming, judgement-free spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, African, Caribbean and Black communities, immigrants, refugees and all equity deserving groups. You deserve care that respects who you are, where you’ve been and what you need.
Our sites are located in accessible community spaces and follow Ontario’s accessibility guidelines. We strive to ensure everyone feels welcome, regardless of age, background or identity.
Our team is made up of skilled, compassionate professionals from diverse backgrounds who are here to listen without judgement and support you with care that meets your needs.
When you reach out to us - whether online or in person - you can feel confident that you’ll be met by skilled, compassionate professionals who are here to support you. Every counsellor in our network holds a Master’s degree and is a Registered Psychotherapist or an equivalent within their profession. They bring years of training, diverse experience and a deep commitment to helping people navigate life’s challenges.
Our team is made up of counsellors from a variety of trusted community agencies, working together to ensure you can access the right support at the right time. While the counsellor you meet may vary from session to session, the standard of care remains the same: respectful, affirming, professional and focused entirely on your needs.
This collaborative service is made possible through funding from the Government of Ontario, allowing us to offer high-quality, accessible care to our community - so when you’re ready, we’re here to listen and help you take the next step.
